Alexander Claffy

Alexander Claffy

From birth, Alexander Claffy was raised in a musical household (his father is a pianist, his mother, a vocalist), and had many of his earliest lessons on bandstands in the heart of Philadelphia. As a teenager, Claffy was fortunate enough to find a mentor in many Philly natives, and has continued his study of the double bass with some of the world's finest musicians, including Ron Carter, Dwayne Burno and Orin O'Brien. Since moving to New York City in 2011, he has had the honor of working with many of his living heroes, including Jimmy Cobb, Louis Hayes, Harold Mabern, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Christian Scott, Joey Alexander, Wallace Roney and many more.  In the past 3 years he has recorded for the Verve, HighNote, Positone, RopeADope and LaReserve record labels.

Alita Moses

ALITA MOSES

Making her mark on the Philadelphia jazz scene and beyond, Alita Moses has been critically acclaimed as one of the city's young artists to watch. Since winning the 2014 Montreux Jazz Vocal Competition in Montreux, Switzerland, she returned there to attend the 1st Montreux Jazz Academy working with greats such as Patti Austin, Sonny Emory, Lee Ritenour and Charles Lloyd. Her ambitiousness is evident in her work with the Hartford Symphony Orchestra and The Philadelphia Pops Orchestra as well as solo artists and bands such as Larry McKenna, Matt McAndrew, ILL DOOTS, Steve Davis, Joel Frahm and many others. Whether on the stage or in the studio, she brings a natural warmth to each performance and astounds audiences with grace and a musical maturity beyond her years.

He has just finished writing, recording and producing his debut concept album: CLAFFY. With the help of engineer/ producer Michael Perez-Cisneros (Kurt Rosenwinkel, Esperanza Spalding and many others); he has documented his own true story of love, heartbreak, and the eternal question: were we meant to be? Just shy of 40 minutes, this groundbreaking LP introduces many of New York's unheard young talent - including vocal powerhouse Michael Stephenson.

Michael Stephenson is an up and coming singer-songwriter/multi-instrumentalist based out of Brooklyn. A New School graduate, he found his singing voice at the end of his college career. On saxophone, vocals, or both he has shared stages with well known artists like Rihanna, Ricky Martin, and up and coming artists like John Splithoff and Kate KS.

Ben Eunson

Ben Eunson is a guitarist who seeks to redefine the sound of the guitar for both the present moment and the future, and is establishing his presence as a prominent guitar voice in the New York City music scene. Some of the artists Eunson has played with include Terri Lyne Carrington, Queen Latifah, Valerie Simpson, Dave Liebman, David Weiss, Myron Walden, Raymond Angry, Questlove, and Kendra Foster. Originally from Melbourne, Australia, Ben Eunson started playing guitar from age 10. Eunson relocated to the United States in 2011, receiving a scholarship to attend New England Conservatory in Boston. During this time, he was given the opportunity to study with key figures in Jazz such as Jason Moran, Jerry Bergonzi, Donny McCaslin and Dave Holland, while also using this time to further develop his own unique approach to improvisation. He currently resides in New York City.

Adam Arruda

Adam Arruda

Born in Toronto, Adam Arruda has been surrounded by music from a very early age, growing up in a musical family. Now residing in Brooklyn, New York, Adam is among the most sought-after drummers in the music world and has had the privilege of working with such artist as Greg Osby, 3WI, Dayna Stephens, Gilad Hekselman, Sam Yahel, Simona Premazzi, Kevin Eubanks, Romain Collin, James Moody, Phil Woods, Tom Scott, Orrin Evans, Godwin Louis, and many more. Adam has performed at the 2007 Grammy Awards, 2004 North Sea Jazz Festival, Detroit Jazz Festival, Monterey Next Generation Jazz Festival, Brubeck Jazz Festival, D.C Jazz Festival, The Kennedy Center, Leuven Jazz Festival, Blues Alley, The California Hall Of Fame, Wally’s Jazz Club, The Green Mill, and many more venues and festivals. Adam is also a proud endorser of Canopus Drums and Vic Firth drumsticks.
